İLEM Graduate presentations within the Graduate Studies address current issues, examine the completed studies from new perspectives and include them in the academic agenda.
Oğuz Karasu will be the guest of the 200th presentation of the Graduate Presentations to be held by theGraduate Society on 27 April 2024 at 14:30. Oğuz Karasu's presentation ‘Space Industry in the United States: An Economic Impact Analysis with Quantitative and Qualitative Methods’, the space industry in the United States will be discussed from an economic perspective.
The presentation titled ‘Space Industry in the United States of America’, which will be moderated by Taha Eğri, will try to evaluate the economic impact of the prominent projects in the space industry shaped by the USA on the economy, to examine the functioning of US institutions, the structure of the institutions that make the functioning of the space economy possible and their relationship with each other. The extent to which the institutional transformation experienced by NASA has affected the space economy over time and how the private sector has made room for the private sector in the transition to the new space economy will be discussed. These developments, which are discussed in the light of space economy literature, will be analysed in a conceptual framework based on an economic perspective.
The programme, which will be based on question and answer, will take place on Saturday, 27 April 2024 at 14:30 on the 1st floor of İLEM Library Building. Everyone interested in the programme is invited.
