Teacher Training Ceremony in Theology Faculties, from Tradition to the Future

The 204th event of Graduate Presentations will take place on Friday, December 13, at 18:00 in İlem. The event, which will be moderated by Emine Keskiner and presented by Arife Gümüş Sarı, aims to provide new perspectives on the role of theology faculties in education under the title "The Success of Training Teachers in Theology Faculties from Tradition to the Future".

Based on Arife Gümüş Sarı's thesis titled "Training Teachers in Theology Faculties in Terms of Possibilities and Limitations", the pedagogical role of theology faculties and their vision for the future will be touched upon. In addition, the social and cultural effects of this process will be examined through the difficulties and advantages experienced in religious education and teacher training.

Theological faculties offer an educational vision that blends not only academic knowledge but also spiritual values to train future teachers. This dynamic structure, where religious education and pedagogical competencies meet, aims to touch the social and cultural fabric of the society with faith-based education. So, how do these faculties pursue their vision of change and transformation in education? What are the new perspectives on the future of teacher training in Theology Faculties? The questions will be tried to be answered in the presentation.

The presentation, which will discuss the details of training religious education teachers from faculties of theology, will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 18:00, on the 1st floor of the İlem Library Building. Interested people are invited to the program.
