In the 17th century, when the Ottoman civilization, which ruled over a wide geography and a wide period of time, was at the peak of its power, a historiography that limited its influence on European societies only to political, economic and cultural fields seems to dominate. Studies on how the Islamic science and thought accumulation corresponded and continued in Early Modern Europe still have not reached a sufficient level. In this conference, the reflections of Ottoman-Islamic science and thought in Oxford University in the 17th century are discussed and it is aimed to show that the impact of the scientific and intellectual products of Islamic civilization on Europe continued in the early modern period.
