As-Se'âdet al-Fâhira fî Siyâdeti al-Âhira, edited and translated by Sami Turan Erel, is one of Taşköprülüzâde Ahmed Efendi's works on the classification of sciences. Taşköprülülüzâde's understanding of the classification of sciences in al-Se'âdet al-Fâhira is generally in harmony with his understanding of classification in Miftâh al-Se'âde and Medînet al-ulûm. Some differences are observed in detail. Taşköprülüzâde discusses the sciences in al-Se'âdet al-Fâhira under three main headings, each of which he calls a devha (big tree). Under each heading, he introduces the sciences and mentions important books written in the relevant field. The first main heading is the instrumental sciences, the second main heading is the theoretical sciences, and the third main heading is the practical sciences.

Thanks to these studies prepared as an output of the Taşköprülülüzâde Project conducted jointly by İLEM and İSTEV, the works of an important Ottoman scholar will be brought to light as a corpus. As-Se'âdet al-Fâhira, which is related to the classification of sciences, constitutes one of the most important parts of this corpus.
