(Knowledge and Society Between Tradition and Modernity)
Throughout human history, "knowledge" and "society" have been discussed and kept on the agenda. In this framework, this study consists of a selection of the discussions that young researchers from different disciplines held for three days around the concepts of "knowledge" and "society" and the beautiful and valuable papers they presented at the V. Young Academics Meeting held in Mardin on June 17-19, 2011. The outputs of this meeting, which was organized by institutions such as ILAM (Center for Scientific Research), ILEM, ISAGEM (Istanbul Academic Development and Education Center), ISAR (Istanbul Research and Education Foundation), ISM (Center for Sciences and Arts) and Kadim Akademi, were collected in this book after peer review. The book aims to make an important contribution to the literature by discussing the concepts of knowledge and society between tradition and modernity in different and new contexts. It is also of special importance in terms of seeing the thoughts of young researchers and the issues they discuss.
