The historiography that existed in the region was carried to a higher level with the entry of Muslims into this geography. Therefore, this book examines the historiography and its sources in the Indian Subcontinent from the first century of Islam to the 20th century.

It includes a predominantly critical bibliography and historiographical discussions of the relatively long and subdivided centuries.
