In the history of Islamic thought, political theory or political thought has been the center of attention of different disciplines, covering a wide range of fields from jurisprudence to metaphysics. From philosophers to jurists, mutakallims to sufis, historians to bureaucrats, many thinkers have been interested in political thought and problematized the relationship between truth and politics. In this age, the problem of the relationship between truth and politics is still very much alive. This book deals with the relationship between truth and politics and evaluates the fundamental questions of political and social order from this perspective. It draws attention to important questions such as what truth means for human beings and how to establish political, economic, and legal order, and discusses the answers given by major Islamic philosophers to these questions. The book aims to re-evaluate the issue of the relationship between truth and politics based on the Islamic intellectual tradition.
