During the 7th and 8th centuries, which were marked by the Crusades and the Mongol invasions, madrasas (Islamic educational institutions) became widespread in the Islamic society. Dar al-Hadith institutions emerged as significant centers of education, and this period witnessed a prolific production of hadith literature. Therefore, this study aims to explore the factors influencing the hadith works of these centuries and to provide a general overview of hadith commentaries. The study also seeks to compare these commentaries vertically with other periods and horizontally within their own context.
Furthermore, the study examines how historical events of that time influenced the hadith literature. It focuses on various narrations and interpretations recorded in sources, such as the exclusion of Turks from criticism, the arrival of the Bani Kintura, the Quraysh lineage of the Imams, the emergence of fire in the Hijaz, the appointment of women in leadership roles, and the devastating disease that claimed the lives of people similar to the loss of sheep.
