Mawarannahr, which holds a pivotal position in Turkish history, has been strategically significant and has hosted numerous empires throughout history. Looking at the region's history until the 16th century, we can generally observe that the Karakhanids, Ghaznavids, Seljuks, Khwarazmshahs, and Timurids, who gained fame through construction and development, established their dominion over the region. On the other hand, the Kara-Khitans and Mongols gained fame through destruction and invasion. As of the 16th century, the Shaybanids, whose origins can be traced back to Genghis Khan and are referred to as the Uzbeks, came to power in the region. This book aims to provide the reader with a comprehensive overview of the Shaybanids' century-long rule.
