(Between Continuity and Change: Thought and Life)
One of the main reasons why change is constantly examined by social scientists is to be able to analyze the change that is constantly occurring and the relationship between and within change. Understanding the changes in our lives and thinking has long been one of our main concerns. This will lead us to determine what is essence and ultimately to define what are the constants that will and/or do persist. This study consists of a number of peer-reviewed papers presented at the 3rd Young Academics Meeting organized by ILEM, Istanbul Academic Development Center (ISAGEM), Istanbul Research and Education Foundation (ISAR), Center for Science and Arts (ISM) and Center for Scientific Research (ILAM) in Istanbul on June 26-28, 2009. We hope that this work, which aims to address the issue of continuity and change, one of the most fundamental issues of social sciences, from many different angles, will contribute to related studies.
