Edeb as a Historical Field of Study
Edeb has been a central concept shaping minds and behaviors throughout history, appearing in different historical moments and forms, and playing an influential role even when it is not explicitly visible. Used frequently in historical texts and of indispensable socio-intellectual importance, it has not received the attention it deserves so far. The present study consists of a series of researches that examine the historical manifestations of 'adab in different periods of Islamic history.
