This book aims to examine the life story of Taşköprülüzâde Ahmed Efendi in detail, as well as to explore his position within his family starting from his ancestors. It seeks to narrate his story within the context of his teachers, peers, and students, and to classify and introduce his works. The book includes the life stories of individuals from three generations of Taşköprülüzâde's family, demonstrating an effort to write a collective biography. Additionally, an unknown work containing Taşköprülüzâde's autobiographical records has been published. Furthermore, the relationships between members of the family from four generations and the bureaucracy of the period are discussed in a separate section. The story of Taşköprülüzâde presented here is approached within a broad framework that sheds light on how an Ottoman scholar was raised and what contributions he made. The aim is to provide a model for "scholar biographies" and scholarly works. This study, with its feature of an "scholarly family monograph," has the potential to become a cornerstone in the broader context of Ottoman religious history studies.
