Within the scope of İLEM Policy Notes, Latif Karagöz has written a study titled The Need for Integrity in Family Policies in Turkey. Karagöz argues that the actions taken in the name of family policies are not only periodic political moves but also important for understanding long-term social changes. In his study, Karagöz states that the family institution is directly affected by all political and cultural developments and political interventions due to its connection with education, health, culture, economy, etc. As a result, Karagöz emphasizes the need for holistic policies and structural plans that take into account long-term and social dynamics regarding the protection and sustainability of family integrity, as in long-term plans to increase employment and maintain a dynamic population.
