ILEM History examines the current debates and approaches to the present and future of historiography. It examines the most recent ideas and perspectives proposed and practiced in the field of historiography anywhere in the world. It focuses on the human and social dimensions of history and historiography. It emphasizes intense intellectual interaction and aims to provide perspective. It discusses and debates the course of historiography and the main issues and trends in historiography in public forums. While respecting the valuable knowledge accumulated by mainstream and conventional methods and approaches, it pioneers interdisciplinary discourse, methodological hybridization, synthetic knowledge production and historiographical experimentation. It adopts scientific seriousness, ethical values and professional approach as a principle. It aims to contribute to the historiography of Turkey and the world through its written products and the discussions it participates in or initiates. The doors of ILEM History are open to all thinkers, colleagues and intellectuals with new and innovative ideas and approaches to the profession of historiography.
