In addition to the basic fields of philosophy such as existence, knowledge and value, it deals with sub-disciplines such as mind, language, society, politics, art, human and technology in a historical and systematic way and carries out activities around different extensions of these fields.

ILEM Philosophy & Science aims to address and discuss the historical and contemporary issues of philosophy and science, and in this way, to build a scholarly accumulation that will give health to our current thinking activity.

The working team will deal with the basic fields of philosophy such as existence, knowledge, and value as well as sub-disciplines such as mind, language, society, politics, art, humans and technology in a historical and systematic way and will carry out activities around different extensions of these fields. The historical research perspective of the working group has a perspective that encompasses disciplines such as theology, fiqh, tafsir, linguistics, and mysticism, which were formed within the Islamic intellectual tradition and stand out with their unique aspects in the history of philosophy and science. The group's perspective of addressing philosophical problems in a systematic way through their contemporary appearances emphasizes the importance of addressing human reality in relation to the holistic reality to which it belongs. In this context, systematic investigations proceed around a classification of reality, the subject who perceives reality, and the ways in which it perceives reality.

The activities to be carried out within the group will be concretized through publications, seminars, workshops, symposiums, and projects and presented to the national and international academic public. With the contributions of the researchers and students working within the Working Group, we hope that the Philosophy & Science Study Centre will make modest contributions to the accumulation of humanity with the unique perspective of discussing the fundamental issues of philosophy and science in Turkey.
