ILEM Society aims to actively and critically address the historical and contemporary issues of social sciences and to contribute to the construction of a genuine thought around these issues. It aims to carry out various activities in the fields of social theory and social sciences, such as the nature and meaning of human beings, the ontology of society, the methodology of social sciences, and social change, as well as different extensions of these fields. These debates will be discussed in depth with the contributions of experts in the field through lectures, reading groups and workshops to be organized by the working group, and will be opened to discussion on various platforms with wide participation.
İLEM Society will further concretize the accumulated knowledge through various projects and publications and present it to the national and international academic public. With the contributions of our professors and students from different fields of social sciences working within the body of İLEM Society, it will become an important neighborhood that constitutes the ground for the performance of Contemporary Turkish Thought in line with the aforementioned aims and objectives.
