In its 4th issue, the International Journal of Academic Human & Society examines secularism, which has been on the agenda in academic and intellectual literature. Although the issue of secularism has been on the agenda in academic and intellectual literature, we have prepared this issue with the conviction that this issue needs to be reworked with different perspectives, methods and case studies. Because the discussions that have proliferated around certain emphases in Turkey could not be enriched in any way. There were methodological problems in the debates that were intertwined with modernization, westernization, and the dilemmas of political life; views were produced that did not take into account daily life; and the experiences of other religions and societies in different parts of the world were not given much space. In this issue, articles, reviews and book reviews were included in a holistic manner to overcome these deficiencies.
