The 12th Turkey Graduate Studies Congress (TLÇK), organized by the Association for Scientific Studies (İLEM) since 2012 and held in Konya, Bursa, Sakarya, Kütahya, Isparta, Muş, Burdur, Malatya, Kocaeli, Mardin, was held in Yalova on 15-17 November 2023. Young academics participating in the congress from different provinces of the country presented 100 papers in 27 sessions.
11 different cities, 12 universities, 1460 papers in 12 years
The congress, hosted by Yalova University and organized by İLEM, is a national congress that aims to encourage interdisciplinary studies in the field of social sciences and contribute to qualified and original academic production. The congress, hosted by Yalova University in cooperation with TÜBİTAK and with the support of Yalova Governorship, started with the Opening Conference at Yalova University Mehmet Okul Congress and Culture Center. Taha Eğri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Scientific Studies Association, Yalova University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, Yalova University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cahit Külekçi, Yalova University Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Karaoğlu and Yalova Provincial General Assembly Chairman Hasan Soygüzel made their welcoming speeches.
After the welcoming speeches, the "Digital Transformation of Social Sciences: New Approaches and Techniques" Panel started under the moderation of Prof. Dr. Taner Tatar. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Önder Küçükural, "New Techniques in Social Sciences from Discourse Analysis to Argument Analysis", Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümit Güneş, "From Notes to Publication: Digital Tools in Text Production".
In the 12th TLÇK sessions that started on the same day, young academics had the opportunity to present their papers under various titles such as "Architecture and Urbanism, Philosophy, Law, Sociology, Theology, Political Science and International Relations, Education, History, Art, Business, Psychology, Literature" in front of experienced academics and academician candidates. At the end of the congress program, it was announced that the papers shaped in 15 different fields and 90 sub-headings will be published in a book and brought to the world of science.
While visiting 12 universities in 11 different cities within the scope of TLÇK in 12 years, a total of 1460 papers were presented in the congress in 12 years.
