With the “Islamist Magazines Project 1960 - 1980” initiated by the Association of Scientific Studies in 2014, the archive of Islamist thought was transferred to idp.org.tr.
Many important magazines of the period such as Büyük Doğu, Yeniden Milli Mücadele, Sebil, Hareket and Diriliş were catalogued and digitized and brought together. The idp.org.tr address, where the memory of Islamism in Turkey is collected, aims to make the thought of Islamism traceable and visible.
In the meeting held at the Association for Scientific Studies, the website idp.org.tr and the book titled Islamist Journals 1960-1980: Recovery and Diversification were shared with the public.
Speaking about the project, Lütfi Sunar said, “The project, to which more than 90 writers, academics and employees contributed, aims to make the history of Islamism in Turkey accessible.” Providing information about the project's new website and the database on the site, Sunar said that the project will digitize all Islamist journals from 1908 to the 2000s and collect them at idp.org.tr.
