Although Islamist Thought in Turkey has been widely written about and discussed from the beginning, the journals in which this thought was produced, discussed and disseminated have not been studied much. In order to fill this important gap, the Islamist Journals Project (IDP) continued its work under the roof of ILEM between 2013-2018 with the aim of unearthing and analyzing the Islamist journals published between 1908-2010.

In the first phase of the project, which was structured in three phases in 2014-2015, 45 journals published between 1960-1980 were digitized and cataloged. 1 symposium was organized and published as a book.

The second phase, which covered 58 journals published between 1908 and 1960, was completed in 2017. After this phase, a well-attended symposium was published as a 2-volume work. The complementary volume of the series, “‘Against Another Life’: Issues, Concepts and Names in Post-1980 Islamist Journals” was presented to the reader as a corpus of 72 articles, 49 portraits of individuals and 47 magazine articles in 4 volumes with the contributions of 116 authors.
