Turkey has been experiencing rapid social change for many years. The differentiation occurring in almost every aspect and layer of social life needs to be analyzed along with the influential factors within it. Despite the increasing interest in the subject in the field of social sciences, it is not possible to find a comprehensive study at either the macro or micro level. There is a lack of agreed-upon theoretical frameworks and technical approaches have not yet been developed in this field.
Initiated under the umbrella of the Scientific Studies Association (ILEM) in January 2012, led by Dr. Lütfi Sunar, the primary aim of the project is to understand and evaluate the social change in Turkey. The project aims to analyze and conceptualize the dynamics of change in order to provide a foundation for social science research and a comprehensive understanding of social change in the country.
